Community Emergency Response Team
C.E.R.T is an organisation set up under the auspices of Ambulance Victoria. The purpose of our group is to provide first aid until the ambulance arrives. In our community the average waiting time for an ambulance is 37 minutes
We have volunteers who are trained to a high level of first aid including the use of defibrillators, oxygen and some medications. These volunteers are on call 24/7 and are despatched by the ‘000' network whenever an ambulance is called in the Venus Bay and district area.

The Chapman Family of Yinnar need our help Gippsland!
The Chapman Family has 3 beautiful Girls, Kelly 2 years old, and twins Emily and Katelyn 1.
Tragically, they each suffer from a rare genetic illness known as Glycogen Storage Disease. With only 12 cases known Australia wide, parents Sue and Joel need to travel to America for Urgent treatment for the girls.
24 hours a day Kelly, Emily and Katelyn need blood sugar levels checked every 2 hours and 3 Hourly feeding. Family Life for the Chapman's is far from normal.
